Replete with an original ‘yacht rock’ score and a clambake of silly songs and scenes and written by TFF alums Sam Forman and local Sean Mahoney, this brand-new nautical musical comedy will rock your boat.

  • LAYERS OF BEING

    March 7 & 8 @ 8-9pm

    A Pay-What-You-Can, Ongoing Drop-In Experience

Directed & Choreographed by Kelsey Trottier
Lights & Installation by Kelli Fox
Live Music & Sound Engineering by Travis Fisher

Dancers: Kelsey Trottier, Jula Ceiciuch & Madeline McNamara

Layers of Being is an immersive performance art installation that explores the complexity of existence through sound, light, video projections, mirrors, reflections, live music, and dance. The piece reveals the multifaceted layers of the human experience, inviting the audience to reflect on their identities, beliefs, and perceptions in a constantly shifting environment.

The sound score, layered with live music, evolves throughout the performance, shaping the emotional landscape. Light and video projections interact with the performers and space, creating fragmented reflections on surrounding surfaces. Mirrors symbolize layers of consciousness, memory, and identity, while live music and dance bring these concepts to life in real-time.

Layers of Being encourages the audience to witness the fluidity of existence, questioning how our memories, identities, and experiences overlap, transform, and interact over time.

The audience is invited to experience the performance from various perspectives, whether standing or sitting, and is welcome to engage for any length of time.
