Education Programs
Books Alive
Our aim with Books Alive is to promote childhood literacy through engaging and interactive performances. In collaboration with Wilkinson Public Library, we create year-round theatre for children, Preschool-4th grade. The productions are developed using popular children's literature hand-picked by the Children's Librarians.
ACTions Tour
Running consistently for almost three decades, Telluride Theatre’s ACTions Tour is an original production that brings engaging, educational children’s theatre to thousands of students, grades Kindergarten-8th grade, in South West Colorado. For many of the youth population served, it is their only experience with live theatre throughout the year.
Apprenticeships
Since 2010, Telluride Theatre has engaged high school and undergraduate students in season-length apprenticeships. The program is tailored to the apprentice’s specific areas of study and lasts 2-6 months. Non-local students will receive assistance securing housing and a small stipend. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
